Profile

Do you want to make a positive difference in the lives of youth in Geary County? Contribute to the Geary County 4-H Foundation and you can do just that. 4-H is a youth organization for kids who are between the ages of 5 and 18. Through 4-H, youth develop leadership, citizenship, and life skills. One 4-H member said the following:

"I like 4-H because it teaches me so many great things including leadership and responsibility, it helps with my public speaking, it helps me to be outgoing and much more. In 4-H I get to do things I enjoy and do things that make me happy. I am thankful to be in 4-H because it teaches me so much and it is fun."

Other 4-H members credit 4-H with helping them gain confidence, a strong work ethic, perseverance, problem solving, time management, creativity, patience, and more.

The Geary County 4-H Foundation supports these 4-H members in many ways, including partial scholarships to attend multi-county and state-wide learning opportunities, enrichment grants to 4-H Clubs to help them accomplish club goals, payment of the Kansas 4-H program fee for each member, scholarships for higher education, and much more.
