Specific Need

Konza Cares is a unique set of programs developed to provide financial assistance, free food, and clothing to our patients. We do this in a variety of ways:

Financial Assistance – Provides funding for medication, medical supplies, transportation to local appointments, and co-pay assistance to Konza patients on a case-by-case basis. Patients who receive help through Konza Cares agree to “Pay It Forward” by paying back a percentage of the funds they are given. Pay It Forward funds go back into the Konza Cares program to help others in the future.

Konza Food Pantry – Located inside the Junction City clinic to provide a short-term supply of food and household hygiene products (laundry, dish, and body soap) for anyone who is hungry – being a Konza patient is not required. Established in January 2023, the Konza Food Pantry served 576 patients in its first eight months. Konza Food Pantry supplies are purchased, using Konza Cares funds, from the Kansas Food Bank.

Konza Closet – Located inside the Junction City clinic, stocked 100% by donations, provides free clothing, shoes, and coats to Konza patients.

Konza Cupboard – Outdoor blessing box located in the front of the Konza Junction City clinic to help address food insecurity in the community. It is stocked 100% by donation with non-perishable food, personal hygiene products, and books.

Profile

Konza Prairie Community Health is a locally owned and operated, not-for-profit clinic founded in 1995 to provide a comprehensive and cost-effective primary health care option for the local community. We increase access to high-quality health care and provide integrated services based on the unique needs of our patients and the community. More than half of our board of directors are also Konza patients, providing representation for the communities we serve.

At our Junction City clinic, we offer convenient, affordable, one-stop access to a wide range of care: comprehensive primary and preventive medical and dental care, full-spectrum behavioral healthcare, in-house laboratory services and an on-site pharmacy. Konza serves all people, regardless of insurance status or income.

As a community health center, we go out of our way to provide extra services above and beyond those one might find in other clinics. We provide additional safety net services to connect patients with community resources to support them on their journey to healthier living.
