Mission

Changing lives by providing support through the united engagement of our communities.

Profile

In 1961, twenty-eight individuals came together to provide a brighter future for Geary County.  They recognized the need for an organization that could support the community as a whole.  The original founding board had a passion for helping others and believed in the mission of the United Way.  A lot has changed in those 60 years, but passion and dedication have remained.  United Way of Junction City/Geary County has continued to fight for health, education, financial stability, and safety net services for all in our community.
Each year, United Way of Junction City/Geary County works with members of the community to fund the organizations that will have the greatest impact on those in Geary County.  Our partner agencies provide services for domestic violence victims, human trafficking victims, child abuse victims, special needs athletes, the homeless, the hungry, the young, and the elderly.  Through our partner programs, United Way of Junction City/Geary County is able to have an impact on so many lives.
Why support United Way of Junction City/Geary County? When you donate to United Way of Junction City/Geary County, you are maximizing the effectiveness of your dollar.  Donors have the ability to specify an organization or give to the Community Fund.  We honor all designations made to other United Ways and partner agencies.  You also support great programs such as Stuff the Bus, Adopt-A-Backpack, Day of Caring, VITA Program, and Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
