Specific Need

It is with your valued support, Junction City Opera House Inc. is honored to have the privilege to opporate the C.L. Hoover Opera House in Junction City Kansas.  A multi-use historic venue the entire community can be proud of and take pride in keeping it's rich history alive!

Immediate needs:

• Continue to upgrade and maintian our state-of-the-art technical equipment in the theater.  This would include continuation of upgrading the sound system and lighting system.
• Installing new carpet in the Weary Family Theater and foyer areas.
• A long term goal is to bring back some of the decorative art work that once graced the walls of the theater.
• Upgrading our rental resources such as; smart board technology and surround sound audio systems for projections.

• Season Programming Expenses: Bringing exceptional talent to our stage, offering diverse and high-quality performances for our community.

Junction City Opera House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, preserving, restoring and sustaining the operation of Junction City's historic C.L. Hoover Opera House.  Noted as a state of the art showcase for the performing and visual arts and a resource for civic and community activities.

Profile

Establishing a "Creative Home"  for the arts in our community, the C.L. Hoover Opera House is home to the Theater Arts Academy serving students 3rd-8th grade, Junciton City Arts Council, Junction City Community Band and Junction City Little Theater.  The Opera House is fortunate to have an excellent group of volunteers helping with events and a dedicated as well as talented staff keeping the day to day operations growing.

While supported by the City of Junction City and Geary County, much of our work is funded by generous gifts from patrons, businesses sponsors, local and regional grants and local foundations.

The entire team at the C.L. Hoover Opera House is beyond grateful for all contributions that are given.  We are committed to keeping the legacy of quality entertainment, civic pride, integrity and beauty of our venue at the forefront while continuing to grow in our efforts in maintaining a space that is a "Home to the Arts" to all in Junction City.
