The primary purpose of this Foundation shall be to provide financial assistance to active-duty military, retired military and civilian employees of the military and their families, who encounter a need and are serving at or residing in the general vicinity of Fort Riley, Kansas.

Central Kansas Military Community Foundation (CKMCF) is a 501 3(c) non-profit, charitable organization that was:
Established in 2004 to provide assistance for Soldiers (Active/Retired/Veterans), their Families and DOD Civilians at Fort Riley and the surrounding community. All financial assistance provided by CKMCF is in the form of grants. Grants are given when it is determined that there is a valid financial need. CKMCF helps Soldiers and their Families with Emergency Expenses that are not covered through traditional avenues, i.e. AER, Red Cross, etc. Over $35,000 of support have been awarded to Fort Riley Soldiers and Families. 100% of the donations received are given to Soldiers and their Families in need. With a donation to the CKMCF organization, a series of commemorative decorative ornaments depicting the history of Fort Riley, Kansas, home of the 1st Infantry Division are available that help with covering our operating expenses. The majority of the funds for grants come from private donations, other organizations and foundations
