Specific Need

The Geary Community Healthcare Foundation, a 501C (3) not-for-profit organization was founded in 1987. Since its beginning, the foundation has raised over $8.5 milion supporting the Geary Community Hospital, Geary County USD#475, Fire and Police Departments, Konza Prairie Community Health, Delivering Change, Pregnancy Center, Food Pantry, Fresh Start Emergency Shelter, AED machines, and various healthcare needs in Geary County.

We will be raising funds for our "Fund a Project" and Healthcare related scholarships during the Puttin on the Glitz Gala on December 13th. 

You can order your tickets and/or be a sponsor on match day and the matched amount with go towards the fundraiser. I will be at the City building on Match Day October 21, 2025 come see me or call me at 785-770-2685.

The Geary Community Healthcare Foundation is a 501(C) (3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1987. The Foundation has raised over $8.5 Million to support the Geary Community Hospital, Healthcare programs, USD #475, Fort Riley, and Junction City. 

This year during the June Boots and Buckles event we raised over $20,000.00 (after expenses), that was presented to the JC Pregnacy Center . 

We also presented checks to several organzations that meet the mission requirements, are non profit and making improvements here in Geary County. Including Bilirubin blankets for Stormont Vail, enhancing playground equipment and much more. We also have a "Keep a child warm" project every year as well, gathering new coats, hats, gloves for those in need. 

We just had our Fall Classic Golf Tournament on September 19th and raised over $38,000.00 (after expenses) for the Fresh Start Emergency Shelter focusing on prescriptions, and medical appointments. 

We will be raising funds for this cause at the December 13th, 2025 "Puttin on the Glitz", the funds raised will be for our "Fund a Project"  (information on website), Non-profits can apply for us to fund their project if it meets the mission requirments. We will also be raising funds for Healthcare related Scholarships staying in Geary County. As the Executive Director since January 2021, I am so impressed with the passion that I see daily within the Community of Junction City.  I have enjoyed the connections I have made and will make in the future and excited for the upcoming events. Thankful for a successful events so we can make a difference in Geary County.  I am also very thankful for my board members, golf committee, all our sponsors and volunteers!
