Specific Need

This year the Geary County Senior Citizens Match Day goal is to purchase Optimoroute, a route optimization and dispatching service that would streamline both our Friendship Meals on Wheels program and our 5310 Elderly & Disabled Transporation services. We have begun an expansion initiative to bring Friendship Meals on Wheels and 5310 Transportation to Milford! Optimroute is a crucial tool for our expansion to be successful. Donating to our organization will help us bring meals and mobility to the senior citizens of Milford. Further questions about the initiative or how you can help us make an impact beyond Match Day please feel free to ask. Mission

Here at the Geary County Senior Center we are dedicated to providing a safe, entertaining place for senior citzens to congregate. Daily we deliver and host lunch to over 100 senior citizens via Freindship Meals. We also offer Eldery & Diabled transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, bearty/barber shop, library, The Y, post office, etc. Curretnly we serve Junciton City & Grandview Plaza but we are actively working towrads expanding our sevice area to Milford. In additon we host eduacational & fitness classes, Hermes Footcare, quarterlty socials, indoor garage sales; we go on low cost fieldtrips and outings, there's truly something for everyone here!
