Specific Need

Konza Cares goes beyond healthcare to help Konza patients meet essential needs that can impact their health and well-being.

Through donor support, Konza Cares helps patients facing financial hardship access food, medications, medical supplies, transportation, hygiene essentials, and other critical resources.

Financial Assistance

Konza Cares provides assistance on a case-by-case basis for needs such as medications, medical supplies, transportation to local medical appointments, and co-pay assistance.

Patients who receive financial assistance are encouraged to Pay It Forward by repaying a portion of the assistance when they are able. Those funds return to Konza Cares, helping extend support to other patients in need.

Konza Food Pantry

Located inside the clinic, the Konza Food Pantry provides patients experiencing an immediate need with a short-term supply of food and essential hygiene products.

Food pantry supplies are purchased through the Kansas Food Bank using Konza Cares funds, helping donations go further while providing nutritious food to patients and families in our community.

Our 2025 Impact

In 2025, the Konza Food Pantry provided:

• 12,850+ pounds of food
• 9,572+ pounds of fruits and vegetables
• 1,156 individuals served
• 420 households served
• 143 households with children
• 42 households with senior citizens

Konza Cupboard

The Konza Cupboard is an outdoor blessing box located in front of the Konza Junction City clinic that helps address food insecurity within our community.

Stocked entirely through donations, the Cupboard provides non-perishable food, personal hygiene products, and books for community members who need them.

Konza Prairie Community Health Center provides affordable, high-quality, comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health care for all.

Profile

Konza Prairie Community Health Center has been serving our communities since 1995. As a locally operated, not-for-profit community health center, Konza works to increase access to comprehensive, high-quality healthcare and provide services that respond to the needs of our patients and communities.

Our patients have a voice in how we serve. More than half of Konza’s Board of Directors are also Konza patients, helping ensure the communities we serve are represented in the leadership and direction of our organization.

At our Junction City clinic, patients have access to a range of integrated services, including primary and preventive medical care, dental care, behavioral health services, in-house laboratory services, and an on-site pharmacy.

Konza welcomes patients regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. A sliding fee discount program is available for eligible patients based on income and family size.

Our commitment to health also extends beyond the care provided during an appointment. Konza offers patient support and safety-net services designed to help address barriers to care and connect patients with additional resources.

Through programs such as Konza Cares, eligible patients experiencing financial hardship may receive assistance with needs such as food, medications, medical supplies, transportation to local medical appointments, hygiene products, and other essential resources.
